The STEM Practice Company Plans Dedicated Cloud Regions in Tennessee

STEM Cloud, powered by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Dedicated Region, is designed to bring private, AI-ready cloud infrastructure closer to U.S. customers

FLOWER MOUND, Texas - August 14, 2026 - The STEM Practice Company (“STEM”), an advanced technology company specializing in sovereign AI and distributed cloud infrastructure, today announced plans to expand its U.S. STEM Cloud through Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Dedicated Region deployments in Memphis and Chattanooga, Tennessee. These deployments are intended to provide private, AI-ready cloud capacity closer to the data, operations, customers, and communities they serve.

Tennessee: STEM Cloud “Provenance” for Enterprise AI and Production Intelligence Workloads

STEM’s Tennessee deployment strategy begins with Memphis and Chattanooga as initial STEM Cloud centers in the state. These sites are intended to support AI-ready cloud capacity for organizations across media and entertainment, healthcare, financial services, the public sector, and advanced manufacturing, as well as for broader enterprise modernization. One example of a deployment in the STEM Cloud is STEM’s Production Intelligence Platform, an AI-native system designed for film, television, virtual production, and live production environments. The platform can transform a sound stage into an intelligent production environment by analyzing scenes, performances, lighting, dialogue, camera feeds, product and brand placement, scene graphs, and production-quality signals in real time. STEM also plans to evaluate use cases involving LED volume stages, virtual production facilities, post-production workflows, rights management, content intelligence, and AI-assisted production workflows. STEM intends for the Tennessee sites to serve as reference locations that demonstrate media production AI, quantum-secure content storage, high-performance rendering, AI inference, and production data management and tokenization.

A Distributed Cloud Model for the AI Inference Era

STEM’s distributed cloud model is grounded in regional partnerships. In Tennessee, STEM works with Golden Acquisitions and Urban Story Ventures on real estate, civic, media, healthcare, and enterprise opportunities in Memphis and Chattanooga. Oracle was selected as the underlying AI infrastructure provider for these U.S. deployments.

This partner-first approach is intended to ensure that STEM Cloud is locally-grounded and locally-relevant. STEM believes the next stage of AI requires regional inference and reasoning capacity that can support enterprise data privacy, local governance, regulatory control, lower latency, and business-specific AI adoption.

STEM’s Commercial Quantum Workloads

Working with Golden Acquisitions and Urban Story Ventures’ Quantum Enablement Center efforts in Chattanooga, Tennessee, STEM intends to commercialize enterprise-grade quantum and quantum-adjacent workloads across STEM Cloud. Initial commercialization areas identified include quantum random number generation, quantum-resilient encryption, post-quantum cryptography, quantum-secured DRM, quantum-secured watermarking, quantum-enhanced content protection, and quantum-ready key management services for media, healthcare, energy, financial services, public sector, and regulated workloads. STEM’s quantum combinatorial workloads intend to target molecule generation and complex logistics.

These capabilities, which are in varying stages of evaluation and deployments, are being designed to run as practical enterprise services rather than research demonstrations. STEM’s goal is to make quantum security and quantum-enhanced workflows consumable by customers through STEM Cloud.

Strategic Partnership with Centroid Systems

STEM expects to work directly with Centroid Systems on migration, ongoing operations and maintenance, managed services, and the execution and support of STEM customer workloads, including those running in Oracle environments. As a member of Oracle Partner Network (OPN), Centroid brings Oracle delivery, infrastructure, and operational expertise to STEM.

STEM-LED INDIA COMMERCIALIZATION UPDATE

India: STEM Cloud “Akshaya” Distributed Sovereignty and Prosperity

Separately from the proposed U.S. regional initiatives, STEM is advancing India-facing commercialization through its STEM Cloud Akshaya division including the launch of its new India headquarters at the World Trade Center building in Pune. The India initiative is designed as a STEM-led market-development and commercialization program for sovereign and sub-sovereign AI use cases in India, including media and entertainment, healthcare, public-sector services, language, mobile, edge, and enterprise AI services.

STEM believes India’s scale, economic diversity, regional languages, mobile-first digital adoption, local business rules, and federal structure make distributed AI capacity especially important. India will need not only large AI training campuses, but also hundreds of smaller, regional inference and reasoning sites that allow enterprises, public institutions, creators, healthcare networks, and communities to use trained AI privately, locally, and under appropriate jurisdictional and operational controls.

STEM is also advancing India-facing commercialization through a STEM Cloud Infrastructure Migration Excellence and AI Enablement program. This program is designed to help major systems integrators and industry participants build durable Centers of Excellence around STEM technology enablement, advanced AI operations, and industry-specific commercialization models.

Tata Elxsi has engaged with STEM’s CordiCoder healthcare AI solution. Representatives of Tata Elxsi noted, in connection with that engagement, that CordiCoder produced deterministic ICD coding outputs in the evaluated workflow with no observed hallucinations, inconsistencies, or non-deterministic behavior.

STEM believes this validates one of the central principles behind STEM Cloud: many enterprise AI workloads do not need uncontrolled, generic, GPU-heavy AI architectures. They need private, domain-specific, deterministic, cost-efficient AI systems that can run close to the data, close to the customer, and under appropriate sovereign and enterprise controls.
